MVM Group Background
Over the years MVM have been successfully involved in numerous design, build and installation projects, and consequently offer unrivalled level of experience and expertise in this field while offering a very competitive solution. We are a quality driven company with ISO9001 certification, covering design, manufacture and installations.
Areas of business
MVM has a long successful history in the design, manufacture and installation of fabricated items. We have a core team of mechanical engineers and skilled sheet metal workers that have proven track record their skill in a range of projects from prototype manufacture to large scale batch production. Our work shop is fully equipped with CNC punch presses, Brake presses and welding bays (including robotic welding). Other manufactured items are bought in via our approved suppliers. Powder coating and other finishing activities are also contracted out.
Skills
MVM have a dynamic team of engineers, key staff, and production and installation employees whom all work together in project teams. From the outset of this project we will nominate a project manager, who will oversee all aspects of the project. The project manager will form a team of people core to the success of the project. These people will be from the design, planning, production, installation and quality departments so all aspects of the project are covered and everyone is kept well informed as to what is expected of them from the start.
Quality
As an ISO company we control all of the raw materials coming into MVM to ensure traceability. Furthermore we have procedures to minimise the risk of cross contamination between Stainless and mild steel products.
MVM Sheet Metal is a specialist in the field of fabrications and has been so for forty years. As an ISO9001 company we have strict operating procedures that help ensure the quality of our products.
Continuous Improvement
We continuously monitor every job and process for any potential improvements and a better way of doing things. The feedback for improvements can come from anyone at MVM to supplier or customer. The improvements may be a change in process, design, installation or even a change in the way we pack and deliver. The person who initiates the change first has to flag up the suggestion to their supervisor, and depending on the scale of change, may then arrange for the improvement to be implemented immediately by involving the planner, production manager or project manager (or all three). Larger scale improvements or improvements that involve design changes to customer drawings/customer approved drawings will be discussed in our daily management meetings.
Further longer term improvements are driven by the engineering team with a capital budget being allocated to fund process improvements.
Environmental
In the present climate it pays to be green. To keep a competitive edge MVM are constantly reviewing operations to ensure we do them in the most efficient manor. Furthermore since the start of 2008 we have a new policy to actively reduce our carbon footprint.
Sustainable Procurement
As a sheet metal fabrication firm most of our materials come from recyclable materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminium). Glass that we use for telephone kiosks and bus shelters are also recycled and packaging materials are kept to the minimum.
Conclusion
MVM works with the client to ensure the project is brought to fruition in the time and budget allocated. In return MVM expect timely payment of all invoices for the manufacture, supply and installation of manufactured items and the support of the client and its designated representatives in order to achieve this.
